She showed up for everyone. Now we show up for her.

You are not a single symptom. You are a whole woman.

Your labs are normal.” But you are not fine.
Your mood, your hormones, your desire, your sense of self — these are not separate systems managed by separate specialists. They are one system.
When providers treat these in pieces, women cycle through symptoms for years without ever reaching the root. Mental health shapes hormonal regulation. Hormones shape mood, libido, and resilience. Sexual wellness is inseparable from identity, safety, and nervous system state. Trauma reshapes all of it.
When these are treated in isolation, symptoms persist — not because something is wrong with you, but because no one has looked at the whole picture.
Leona was built to look at the whole picture.
We address what everyone else
has been treating separately
Most providers treat a symptom. At Leona, we look at the whole picture — because your mood, your hormones, your body, and your sense of self are not separate problems.
— How your nervous system is regulating — or not
— Your hormonal health across every life stage
— Your mental and emotional wellbeing
— Your relationship with your own desire and body
— Your sense of agency in your own life
— What meaning and groundedness feel like for you
This is not symptom management. It is reconstruction.
You might come for one thing.
We’ll look at all of it.
Women come to Leona for many reasons. What they find is that the thing they came for is almost never the only thing.
Common starting points:
-
Perimenopause and menopause symptoms that aren’t being managed
-
Hormone imbalance, low energy, weight changes, brain fog
-
Depression or anxiety that hasn’t responded well to standard treatment
-
Low libido, pain with sex, or disconnection from your body
-
PMDD or cycle-related mood disruption
-
Treatment-resistant symptoms across multiple providers
-
The persistent feeling that something is off — even when labs say otherwise
If you read that list and felt seen — you’re in the right place.

How It Works
1. Comprehensive Intake A full 60-minute visit covering your mental health, hormonal, and sexual health history -not a rushed 15-minute med check.
2. Real Answers Review of existing labs, a clear clinical picture of what's actually happening in your body and mind, and a written plan — not "let's see how you feel in three months."
3. Ongoing Care Medication management, follow-up visits, and direct access between appointments -covered by your insurance. There may be some services/treatments not covered by insurance, but we will make all decisions together.
Insurance & Payment
We accept most major West Virginia and Virginia insurance plans for psychiatric and hormone-related visits. Call or check with us directly to confirm your specific plan before scheduling.
Meet Dr. Rhonda Parker, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC
Rhonda Parker has spent over two decades practicing at the intersection of psychiatric care, hormonal health, and women’s wellness. She is one of a small number of providers in the country who holds dual board certification in both psychiatric and primary care — which means she doesn’t have to choose between treating your mind and your body. She treats both. At once.
She built Leona because she kept seeing the same woman in her practice: capable, self-aware, and exhausted by a medical system that had treated her symptoms in pieces and never once looked at the whole picture. Rhonda wanted to build something different — a model of care that starts with the woman, not the diagnosis.
She holds formal training in hormonal optimization and sexual health — and brings to that work something no certification fully captures: a genuine ease and openness around women’s sexuality that her patients feel immediately. She has never been clinical or squeamish about desire, embodiment, or intimacy. She believes a woman’s sexual health is as legitimate and important as any other aspect of her care — and she treats it that way.
Rhonda is the 2024 AANP Excellence Award recipient, a WV Living Champion of Care, the AANP West Virginia State Liaison, and the author of Unbreakable Spirit: Navigating Mental Health Challenges with Chronic Illness. She practices in West Virginia and serves women via telehealth across West Virginia, Virginia, Colorado, and Minnesota.
